📝 How do reviews work on NeedHelp ?
When you hire a tradesperson through NeedHelp, you can leave a review once the job is completed. These reviews are 100% verified and only apply to work that has actually been carried out via the platform.

Reviews are based on a 1 to 5-star rating:
- 1 star ⭐ : Very dissatisfied
- 2 stars ⭐⭐ : Dissatisfied
- 3 stars ⭐⭐⭐ : Average
- 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐ : Satisfied
- 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ : Very satisfied
In addition to the star rating, you can also :
✅ Leave a detailed comment about the service provided.
✅ Rate the tradesperson’s punctuality, quality of work, and professionalism.
🔍 Where can you find a tradesperson's reviews ?
If you'd like to check a tradesperson's reviews before hiring them:
- Open their profile by clicking “View profile” from a job request.
- See their overall rating and total number of reviews under their profile picture
- Scroll down the page to read detailed reviews.
- Click "See More" to view all available reviews.
💡 Tip : A tradesperson with mostly positive reviews and a high average rating is a strong indicator of reliability and quality.
⚠️ What if a tradesperson has negative reviews ?
A single negative review doesn’t necessarily mean a tradesperson should be avoided. Here are a few things to consider :
- Balance of positive and negative reviews : A tradesperson with a few negative reviews but an overall positive rating is still a reliable option.
- Recurring issues : If multiple customers report the same problems (e.g. delays, poor workmanship), it's worth being more cautious.
- Tradesperson's response to negative reviews : A professional will often take the time to reply and explain their side of the story.
🚨 Important : A high number of negative reviews can result in a tradesperson's account being suspended.
✍️ How to leave a review for a tradesperson ?
Once the job is completed, you'll receive an email with a link to leave a review. You can also do this via:
- Your personal account > "My requests"
- The specific job request
